I would refer to myself as a complete newbie astronomer. I've always been interested in astronomy, ever since I saw jupiter's GRS throught my fathers homemade 5" Newtonian. I recently purchased a Meade ETX70AT, which is a 70mm refractor with GOTO facilities. This is a great little portable scope for the money.

To image I use a modified Philips Toucam 740K webcam. It is modified such that I can take any exposure I want with it. Although with this scope 10sec - 15sec exposures is really pushing it. Some of the software I use are Registax and QFocus. A great book for anyone wating to start looking at the sky, that I highly recomend, is Turn Left at Orion.
